Top of the line quality mild bit, stainless steel.
Mouth: 4 3/4"
Shank: 5"
Port: 5/8"
"The "pateboba" or C type shank is the normal bit with an older design. Its purpose is to make the horse close the head-neck angle because of the torsion exercised by the shank, by means of wich the head unconsciously and narurally carried high by the horse is neutralized. They call it "dolt's shank". It is stronger when having a vertical Spanish-style design, and smoother as its inclination gradually increases the angle of the vertical line that passes through the articulation of the mouthpiece, while diminishing it to the horizontal one, until it reaches the shank at a square angle with no lever effect".
